Reflection

Reflect on the GAME plan you developed and followed throughout the course.
Summarize any new learning that resulted from following your GAME plan, and explain what impact your new learning will have on your instructional practice.
New learning that resulted from following my GAME plan was becoming very knowledgeable on digital story telling. Digital storytelling is a relatively new term, which describes the new practice of ordinary people who use digital tools to tell their 'story'. Digital stories often present in compelling and emotionally engaging formats, they are usually less than 8 minutes long and can be interactive. The term digital storytelling can also cover a range of digital narratives. It is sometimes used to refer to filmmaking in general, and as of late, it has been used to describe advertising and promotion efforts by commercial and non-profit enterprises.

Describe how you might revise your plan based on your progress.
I may revise my GAME plan based on my progress by using different strategies such as with my students to see how these strategies will help my students become more successful.
Also, share your thoughts and ideas about how you might modify and use the GAME plan process with your students.
Answered in the questions listed above.

Describe any immediate adjustments you will make to your instructional practice regarding technology integration in your content area(s) as a result of your learning from this course.

Immediate adjustments will I think become an affective tool to help my students learn and master objectives in my classroom. My leaning about digital story telling in this class will give me new strategies to try in my classroom that will be successful for the students I have. My students love to try knew ways of learning so I know this will be a good way to get them engaged.

How might you integrate technology as well as problem-based learning, social networking/online collaboration, and digital storytelling into your instruction?

Social media is an effective way to increase student engagement and build better communication skills. Students who rarely raise a hand in class may feel more comfortable expressing themselves on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. Social networking platforms enable teachers to establish “back channels” that foster discussion and surface ideas that students are too shy or intimidated to voice out loud.
